NanoLabNL enables fundamental research, process and product development and, to some extent, small-scale production. The latter has proven to be an important link in the innovation process from basic idea to product. The facilities support a wide range of areas in science and technology, including materials science, quantum technology, (nano)photonics, biotechnology, energy research, and sensor technology.
Each facility complements the others and offers services in their respective areas of expertise:
MESA+ NanoLab Twente- Micro/nano MEMS, – fluidics, – electronics and – optics; 2D/3D-nanostructures; Nano devices/materials; Advanced analysis facilities.
Kavli NanoLab Delft- Nanostructuring by charged particle beams; Fabrication of quantum devices
Bionano imaging.
Else Kooi Lab Delft- Nanodevice integration Sensors; Wafer level integration; Silicon & polymer integration; Microsystems.
TNO NanoLab Delft- Contamination control; (EUV) Optics Lifetime; Nanofabrication for quantum computing
NanoLab@TU/e Eindhoven- Organic, magnetic and semiconducting materials & devices; III-V integrated photonics; Growth of nanostructures and nanolayers.
Zernike NanoLab Groningen- Quantum electronic materials; Molecular self-assembly Device technology for Green ICT
AMOLF NanoLab Amsterdam- Optical and mechanical metamaterials; Nanophotonic and nanophotovoltaic materials & devices.
Services range from consulting such as process definition and flow development, to assisted and independent use of cleanroom facilities after training, and hiring in-cleanroom expertise (contract research).
